Bio and CV

Below you will find an overview my academic history. My full CV is available upon request.

Education

In August 2015 I received the Master's degree in mathematics from the University of Groningen.
In April 2021 I received the PhD degree in mathematics and engineering from the University of Groningen.

Academic employment

Since September 2023 I am a postdoctoral researcher at the Department of Automatic Control at Lund University, Sweden, where I am hosted by Emma Tegling and Anders Ranzer.

From July 2021 to June 2023 I was a postdoctoral researcher at the Department of Mathematical Sciences “G.L. Lagrange” (DISMA), Politecnico di Torino, Turin, Italy. There I was working in the Control of Network Systems group of Giacomo Como and Fabio Fagnani.

From 2016 to 2020 I was a PhD student in at the University of Groningen, Groningen, The Netherlands. The position was both part of the Smart Manufacturing Systems group within the Engineering and Technology institute Groningen (ENTEG), and the Systems, Control and Optimization group within the Bernoulli Institute for Mathematics, Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence. My PhD supervisors were Claudio De Persis and Arjan van der Schaft.

Other activities

I have been a reviewer for the IEEE Transactions on Automatic Control, the IEEE Transactions on Control of Network Systems, the IEEE Transactions on Smart Grid, the Systems & Control Letters, the European Control Conference, the American Control Conference, the IEEE Conference on Decision and Control, and the Mediterranean Conference on Control and Automation.

From 2017 to 2019 I was an instructor for the “Keuzecollege Smart Grids”, where I taught high-school students on the energy transition and on how smart design is essential in this process. The task of the students was to build a scale model of a smart home with appliances that, by programming an Arduino unit, responded in real-time to fluctuations in energy prices.
